Zusy Adoption Fundraiser

Ryan & Rachel Zusy are my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They are two incredible teachers with hearts of gold. I’ve set up this GoFundMe page with the hopes that our friends, family, and perhaps strangers alike will help these two raise enough money to adopt a baby. They have struggled with infertility and worried they would never be able to have the family they desired. Which was very difficult for them both. Knowing at the end of the day they still have so much love to give, they decided to adopt. They want to continue their mission of helping children in need, which led both of them to teaching in the first place. To prepare for their family, they have been saving up for the costs of adoption, which can be upwards of about $20,000 and have successfully raised about half the needed funds.

It’s a happy problem that they have since found themselves in as everything began to move much faster than originally planned. Due to the pandemic and other factors, processes that used to take 7-9 months are now taking less than 3 months, given meetings were moved to online platforms instead of what were previously done through in-person visits. That, coupled with a larger number of babies being put up for adoption as a direct result of COVID, and related causes, has led to their timeline being fast tracked. Given this current situation, they find themselves overjoyed with the upcoming (and potentially quick) prospect of a baby, but financial constraints are difficult with almost two years less to save than originally planned upon.

These two give their love, energy, and time to others’ children daily. Rachel works as an Intervention Specialist and Ryan is an Industrial Arts (wood shop) teacher. Good news is they have enough love to go around. Help us to help them adopt a baby so they can give their love to their own child. When Ryan & Rachel learned a couple of years ago they were infertile, an experience that comes easily to so many was taken from them. Now they hope to be able to welcome a child into their home and life through their own journey. Any amount that you can give to help this wonderful couple make their family a reality will be greatly appreciated, whether it’s $1 or $100.
