Charlie's Euthanasia Expense

My name is Heather and I met Charlie when he was a four month old fluff ball. I immediately fell in love. Nixie, my 4 year old Chihuahua, was a little more stubborn but after a while Charlie got her to love him too. Charlie reminded me of Williams Ferrell in the movie ELF, and he never met a person he didn't just love. When I had my barbershop, prior to July when it was closed after a fire, the dogs would both go to work and hang out as the shop dogs all day. He grew so big and so fast it was hard to remember he was still just a puppy and exactly one week ago today I had to do one of the hardest things I've ever done. Charlie started vomiting last weekend and I figured it was just a bug. I was very wrong and he kept getting worse. His absolute favorite food was whip cream, he always wanted it squirted straight into his mouth, lol, but last Sunday I couldn't even get him to eat that. Around midnight last Sunday Charlie vomited several times and quit moving. I immediately panicked and got him in the car and drove straight to the emergency vet. I had to carry my 10 month old golden doodle in and after a while, I was told devastating news. Charlie had ingested poison and was given a 15% survival rate. Even with treatments which would have been financially impossible, he had an 85% mortality. I chose to let my boy go to the rainbow bridge and held him close and told him what a good boy he was and how loved and special he was to me. Because it was a weekend emergency, the bill was $392 . I had to call my daughter, who is currently studying abroad and borrow the money from her to pay for the euthanization. Your kindness will allow me to pay her back for one of the hardest nights of my life. I thank you and nixie and Charles do too.
