Support for Cameron
Nathan and Laura Tate and family went on vacation last week and soon after arriving their three-year old son, Cameron, became lethargic and unable to walk. They rushed him to the local ER where his preliminary diagnosis was possibly leukemia or lymphoma. He was transported by ambulance to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida where his diagnosis was confirmed. Cameron is being treated for Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). In less than a week Cameron has had surgical procedures, transfusions and extensive tests. He is very high risk and his aggressive team of doctors began chemotherapy Thursday, August 13. His hospital stay at Johns Hopkins will be a month or more.
Cameron’s parents, Nathan and Laura, his brother Grayson, and his grandmother Darlene Singleton will stay in Florida with him until he is able to travel home and be hospitalized in Dallas. Laura will continue working remotely, however Nathan, a Dallas restaurateur and chef, has recently faced temporary business hardships caused by COVID 19. Cameron’s illness came as a shock, as well as created unexpected expenses for this family. Please, please give as you feel led.
