In 2020 after isolating for many months with my extremely clinically vulnerable daughter, I decided to get Ava a puppy. Into our life bounded Poppy. From the moment Ava and Poppy met it was true love. They are inseparable, play together and love each other dearly. Ava has Di George syndrome and struggles with many aspects of life on a day to day basis. Since having Poppy Ava’s life has been transformed. Ava suffers dreadfully from anxiety. Now she snuggles on the settee with Poppy and tells her all her worries. Yesterday Poppy’s back legs became paralysed. Completely out of the blue. We rushed Poppy to an emergency vets who kept her over night. Ava was distraught to be separated from her best friend. Today the news is not good. Poppy needs a Mri scan to see what the problem is. Our insurance does not cover any further scans or treatment. We have tried charities, other vets and anyone we can think of to help but no one can. I’m setting up this page in case anyone can help us. Without the scan the vet has said we will have to let Poppy go. Poppy is only 1 and Ava loves her so much it would break her heart. If anyone can help, however big or small, please help us to get Poppy the treatment she needs.
