My sister and her family get back on their feet
Donation protected
Last night around 9pm in Hawaiian Paradise Park my sister lost her home and business to a fire. Her and her kids ran from their home with only the clothes on their backs as the home was quickly engulfed in flames. The areas that weren’t burnt were destroyed by smoke and water. Little to nothing was salvageable. Thankfully, everyone got out safe but everything they had was lost including her business.
She is a single mother of 3 and the sole provider of her household of 6.
Many know her as the owner of Coconut Girl Earrings. This business has been her passion and her livelihood for over 15 years. She made beautiful jewelry and wood pieces for special occasions and people. Her entire business was destroyed in the fire. Everything from centerpieces ready for upcoming graduation parties, jewelry, tools, down to packing supplies.
It will take time for her to get her business going again but with the grace of God it will be done.
My sister is always giving and helping and while she was worried about all her clients destroyed party pieces and a home that was ruined we are thinking about her. Her needing to now find a new home for her family, replacing necessities and rebuilding their life from scratch… without her income from her business.
Our hearts are broken for her loss but yet grateful beyond measure. So many people have reached out asking how they can help. My sister being so humble and independent finally agreed to let me share this and take the help.
If you would like to help her and her family with a donation of any amount you may do so directly to her venmo. We may set up a go fund me as well.
If you know any resources that help families in these situations please share.
She and her family are staying with me for the time being until we figure out the next steps.
I would like to ask you to keep them all in your prayers and thoughts for this is such a hard time for her and her family.
