Emma's Surgery
Donation protected
Some of you know we foster-adopted two bonded senior siblings Emma and Tucker in October 2020. They’ve become entrenched in our hearts in ways we never expected. Our hearts filled with love and our phones with pup pics!
Unfortunately, we discovered Emma had an undisclosed degenerative issue that requires surgery in addition to severe hip dysplasia. (Pet insurances consider her particular surgical issue to be pre-existing and won’t cover it.)
To increase her mobility and decrease her everyday pain, surgery is scheduled for February 25th at the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg. Emma lives to run laps around her brother and romp with her best buddy. We can’t imagine rescuing her to only give her a lifetime of discomfort and restriction.
It’s an awkward ask during a time when everyone is strained financially, so gifting us your prayers and good energy is invaluable, regardless of any financial consideration. Anything you can give to help us along the way is incredibly meaningful, and no amount is too small.
Here’s to putting our best paws forward furever, and out-zooming her brother in the yard.
Steve, Jenny, Emma, and Tucker.
