The Johns family

This is the family  project Halo adopted this year!

My name is Angela, and this is our unique family of 5!
I was blown away when I was unexpectedly contacted by the founder of Project Halo, informing me our family had been selected as the recipients of their annual benefit! (Extra special thanks to my longtime, beloved friend Krystal for recommending us!!)
We are humbled and grateful to say the least, as this is truly an answered prayer!!
Here is a little background on our family...

~My husband Adam and I have been married almost a decade, and we have 3 children, two 8 year olds (our Irish twins!), and a 2 year old.
~Our youngest daughter, Izrielle, is 2.5 years old, and is our Miracle Baby!! She was born 3.5 months early at 25 weeks gestation, only 1 pound 6 ounces, and 12 inches long! She has severe lung disease (BPD and tracheobronchomalasia) and is trach/ventilator dependent. She spent the first almost 13 months of her life in 4 NICU’s across the state, before finally getting to come home. She has vocal cord paralysis from complications of heart surgery she had at a few weeks old. Because of this she is mute (mechanically via trach and physiologically). Despite her many challenges, she has continued making progress at home. We have been gradually weaning her vent settings, and she’s just started taking steps!! We are believing God for a full miracle of healing for Izzy, including her voice!
~Our middle child, Rozalynn is our beautiful rose, and truly the best Sister in the world for her two special siblings, placed strategically in the center by God, she has a hand to hold for each of them. She has been instrumental in their progress & helping communicate for them.
~Our oldest, Taven, has severe autism, ODD, SED, and OCD. Over the years we have done many treatments to help him develop, including Biomed interventions/special diet, ABA therapy, ST/OT, and Easter Seals Play Project. He is currently echolalic, and we have never been able to have a conversation - YET. But he has the sweetest soul and we have high hopes for much continued improvement.
~With our special situation, I stay home currently to care for and homeschool our children. My husband works, delivering office supplies. We do the best we can to make ends meet, but with our series of unfortunate events over the years, financial hardship has been a big burden to bear, and to climb out from under!
That is why I am so very thankful to Project Halo and all involved, & to God for placing us on their hearts, to bless our family! We are praying God pour out His blessings on them and everyone who gives in any way their time, effort, gifts, & support to this beautiful endeavor. Thank you for shining a ray of light on our family!
