Over $40K In Medical Bills & Unable To Walk: HELP PLEASE
Donation protected
So most of you folks know me from my time working at Motherboards.org and Tech Of Tomorrow and being a diabetic has taken its toll on me over the years as more and more of my body keeps failing and getting amputations. This started with problems with my pancreas that caused me to lose 30% of my vision and kept me from working most of 2023 and 2024.
2 weeks ago my foot blew a hole out the side that had been infected all year from a bug that crawled into my foot ulcer and rotted causing extreme gangrene in my left foot, which led to the amputation most of my left foot and a 2 week stay in the hospital. Now I have a huge deductible to pay along with my other expenses that have left me in dire straits financially and I need to have money for food, bills and medical supplies so any bit of help will be greatly appreciated by me. I am very grateful to all the people who have been there for me over the years. These funds will be used for my medical deductions, food and bills until I can walk again in 10-12 weeks. I can no longer walk until I get a new prosthesis, which is a few months away, until then I am stuck in my bed with a wound.
The new prosthesis will be at least a few thousand and until I can get on disability money will be very tight. I take care of my 85 year old mother Annie and we now need a home health nurse to help prepare meals, change my bandages and check my wound vac as well as hire someone to help clean the house. Once I can walk again I will go back to taking care of my family, but for now I am unable to do anything, but try and heal my body. My AIC was 7.4 so I am getting close to reversing my diabetes it just takes time.
I finally had my eye surgery and I can see again so now I am dealing with that bill, but I am so grateful to all of you who have helped me and my family through this immense ordeal.
I am now trying to heal from a very deep wound that developed from rubbing up against the cast that was on my foot that got infected and my achilles tendon was hanging out the back of my ankle. I tried to post a pic, but it kept getting flagged. Just know that everyday me and my family are not living in the street and eating thanks to the generosity of you all. LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS SAID YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
