Daniel's Fight Against Cancer

Most 13-year-olds are getting ready for a summer of playing, fun, and a break from life— unfortunately, for our sweet Daniel it is going to be a summer of faith, challenges, and a battle of a lifetime as he fights cancer.

Earlier this year Daniel’s left leg was hurting him. After multiple tests it was confirmed that he has Ewing Sarcoma, and the doctors recommended immediate chemotherapy. He will begin his treatments in the coming week.

Besides chemotherapy, in order to hopefully eliminate the cancer completely, amputation of his lower leg is a real possibility.      

You will not find a sweeter, kinder, more loving, humble, and caring boy than Daniel. He is also strong, optimistic, and has faith that he can get through this. The road is going to be bumpy for the foreseeable future, but he is taking it like a champ.

The immediate medical bills, as well as the long-term prognosis, indicates a long road ahead for the Vogel family. This GoFundMe will help alleviate day-to-day expenses of medical costs, travel, home-schooling and maybe even a treat for Daniel. : )
