Stem Cell therapy for Jim Dalzell

This go fund me page is set up for my father James Dalzell. He is 72 years old, a father of 3 and a grandfather of 5. Jim has selflessly worked hard ALL of his life starting in the shipyards and has dedicated 32 years at GM working in heating and cooling with asbestos all around him. He has worked up until just a few months ago. Three years ago my father Jim was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. For the first 2 1/2 of those years he has lived without many symptoms except a cough and a little shortness of breath. Recently this has changed... He is now dependant on oxygen 100 % of the time and is down to 116 lbs. Moving from room to room is a chore and takes a lot out of him. There is no actual know cure for this disease. The only possability people with this disease have is lung transplant surgery which is very risky and not guaranteed that it would work or give longevity and his body could reject it or he may not make it to see new lungs because of the waiting list. While looking into his options to help with this disease, he was introduced to a therapy using your own stem cells. The procedure would be done in Tampa at The Lung Institute. There is a 70% success rate and they are very optimistic that he could get some of his lung function back. This is a 3 day procedure and is not covered by insurance yet which is why we are asking and praying that he could be blessed with the funds to have this procedure done. If anyone knows my dad, he has always gave to others with a cheerful heart and has always done what he could for others. He never asks for anything in return and now it is our turn to give to him.
