Kim's Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Quzzie “QZ” some of y’all know me as Lamar and I'm fundraising for me and my mom, Kimberly Foster.

Earlier this month, my mom was hospitalized in Las Vegas NV. She had gone to dialysis and her chest started to hurt so she was transported to the hospital. My mom lost consciousness and had to be resuscitated.

My mom needs a heart valve and was airlifted to Intermountain Hospital in Salt Lake City UT for them to perform the surgery. After a couple days in Utah, the doctors advised me and our family that mom would not make it through the surgery. Intermountain was our 2nd opinion. They contacted University of Utah to see if they could perform the surgery. University of Utah was the 3rd opinion and declined to perform the surgery, stating the same reason as the other hospitals.

The doctors at Intermountain have given up on my mom and told us there is nothing else they can do. They were in contact with a hospice facility in Utah but when my mom was made aware and asked did she want hospice care, she declined.

My mom has been hospitalzed many times in my life due to her lifelong illness of diabetes. She was blessed with a kidney and pancreatic transplant when she was told she would be too far on the list and wouldn't live to get it. God showed them different.

Intermountain Hospital told us on Friday, my mom wouldn't live without life support. They stopped life support Saturday and she's breathing on her own ever since. They said they couldn't dialyze her anymore due to her chest pains. She's been getting dialysis. Again, GOD SAYS DIFFERENT.

Where we are now is, they are trying to stabilize her blood pressure. We've asked them to transport her back to the hospital in Las Vegas which they agree but her insurance will not pay for it.

The entire staff at the hospital have been giving my mom the best care and I thank them. Their facility does not offer family shelter.

I have been here with my mom but our funds are running out with me staying in a hotel and renting a car to get back and forth.

I'd like to raise enough money to get my mom transported back home to our local hospital to get proper care to keep her alive or if I can't do that, then help me with my stay in UT to be here for her and to help pay bills at home.

My mom is on a fixed income and I just started a new job and I'm not getting paid for time off.

Anything you wish to give would be helpful but if you can't, a prayer for us would be appreciated.
