Support Daisy's Road to Recovery

Hi friends and animal lovers! A beautiful 4 year old bundle of love and joy needs GoFundMe help...Daisy is owned by a dear friend of mine, Lisa Doucette, who fostered Daisy after she was found in a wooded area, chained to a tree. She was less than 6 months old at that time. Daisy was later adopted by Lisa and lived a rambunctious, silly life in Snellville, GA., along with her older fur-sibling, Buddy. However, the last year has been a tough one for Daisy and her family, as she tore her ACL and had surgery in August 2023. She did not recover properly, and needed therapy to learn to use her leg again, which began in October 2023. Therapy came to a stop as she tore her other ACL. possibly due to the added weight put on it. Medication and rest were given and xrays taken, but more swelling and inflammation. Water therapy was suggested with a rehab therapist, then fluid developed around her surgical knee. More xrays were taken and Daisy landed with Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Coleman on May 14, 2024, where Lisa was told the doctor must go back into the first leg and clean out possible infection, insert a metal plate and once healed, go back in and perform the second ACL tear in a second surgery. Total cost for both knees is $9100. This vet is confident he can fix this young dog and get her back to the Daisy she used to be! Depression and sadness have settled over this little family as for the past year they have not been able to do dog parks, river walks, play chase around the living room couch or rough play in the kitchen... Daisy is confined to her living room. You will see the changes in her personality in the before and after pics below.

Lisa has paid and paid on Daisy's medical bills, but she is sitting with the question of "How can I do this further?"
