Eddie's Top Surgery

Hello! I am Eddie, a 20 year old trans man from North West England, and I am trying to fundraise for top surgery due to the extensive NHS waiting times. I’m not expecting the full amount but if I do surpass my goal, any extra money will be put towards hotels and transport.
If you don’t know, top surgery is a procedure that trans masculine and non-binary people can get to masculinise the chest in order to relieve dysphoria, and is often life-saving. However, current NHS waiting times are up to 2 years for an initial appointment, and even more than that to get to the point of surgery, and this is something I cannot wait that long for. As for my current transition, I have had one appointment with GenderCare and have been given the go-ahead to start hormone replacement therapy (testosterone) after my appointment with the endocrinologist on January 28th. I am currently at university whilst also trying to work when I can in order to save as much as possible, but most of my wages go towards living costs. I also suffer from mental health issues as well as undergoing physiotherapy for hip pain which can also inhibit my ability to work a steady part-time job (my current employment is zero-hour).
As it stands, I have been told that my top dysphoria will get worse with HRT, which I’m very worried about as it is already quite severe. I wear my binder every single day, almost always over the 8-10 hour threshold of safe binding, and as a result suffer from severe shoulder and back pain. As you can imagine, I’m increasingly more worried about how I will cope with this dysphoria when I start T so I made the decision to start this GoFundMe as early as I could in order to get surgery as soon as possible.
My parents, despite slowly coming to terms with me being trans, do not have the means to help me with this financially and so I’m turning to the internet in the hopes that my friends (and maybe even some kind strangers) can give what they can. I’m also offering art commissions in exchange for donations so please send me an email at [email redacted] if you’ve donated and that’s something you’d like, or if you’d like to donate but aren’t keen on the fees GoFundMe takes from the fundraiser.
