Jake's medical bills

Donation protected
My brother, Jake, was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2009; he is currently only 21. Although my parents have been swamped with medical bills since then, they are about to receive another bill of at least $20k. Jake was recently admitted to the Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA, where he lives with his girlfriend. He thought it might be appendicitis but the doctors found an abscess the size of a golf ball attached to his already inflamed part of his intestines. The abscess was drained at 10:15 this morning but he has to have bowel resection surgery done this weekend or Monday to take out the inflamed section of his ilium. He is still on our dad's insurance, which we found out after Jake was already in the hospital, which it does not cover medical issues outside of New York, where we live. My parents and my brother will be paying for this expense, the ER visit, hospital stay, and the 2 surgeries, out of pocket. We are never a family to ask for help but it breaks my heart to see what my family is going through. Any amount helps, thank you so much.
