Donation protected
In celebration of the United Nations Autism World Awareness Month, San Francisco-based Autism Hearts Foundation is honored to present an Exhibition of works done by children with autism from the Philippines at the United Nations Headquarters on April 3, 2017. We are bringing eight (8) talented children from Manila to New York and we need your help to cover costs of their travel and lodging expenses.

We are grateful for any amount of contribution from $25 and up. We also offer sponsorship benefits starting at $1,500.

Autism Hearts Foundation's Fashion Arts Autism Benefits "FAAB" Project is seeking contributions to help defray costs of our children artists traveling from the Philippines to New York City. This will be a trip of a lifetime for these children who's astounding original works of art will be featured at a special exhibition at United Nations Headquarters April 3 - 6 and the FAAB Project International Runway Show - FASHION FOR HOPE on April 7.

The FAAB Project enables children affected by autism to courageously overcome their challenges by promoting healthy self-expression, building essential life skills and providing inclusive opportunities in the creative arts. Autism is a neuro-developmental disorder that affects the person's social, communication and behavioral capabilities creating serious challenges in learning and development. It knows no boundaries occurring in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.

The entire FAAB Project includes an educational art therapy program and a series of fashion shows. The program involves ongoing workshops where students produce original works of art on canvases made of piña cloth. This distinctive fabric is produced from the leaves of a pineapple plant and is indigenous to the Philippines. FAAB artist’s creations are transformed into fabulous outfits, gowns and accessories by distinguished fashion designers and brought to runways around the world from the Philippines to New York.

FASHION FOR HOPE marks the first year anniversary of Autism Hearts Foundation's innovative art therapy program and fashion project to help make a difference in the lives of children and youth affected by autism spectrum disorders.

Our Vision

Autism Hearts Foundation (AHF) envisions a world in which the needs of ALL individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are met, and the cultural and cognitive diversity of people living on the spectrum is celebrated, not stigmatized. Where each person receives the highest level of customized care and treatment, education and lifelong support they deserve.

As AHF works towards the cultivation of a greater awareness and understanding of the unique strengths and challenges associated with ASD, our vision is realized by the creation and implementation of culturally relevant, relationship-oriented, family-based support services.

Our Mission

Our mission is to maximize the potential of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders to learn, develop, function independently, and participate in the full range of social and cultural activities for an improved quality of life.

Social Values

Community and Families: We work to support and help navigate access to primary, secondary, and tertiary services, including early childhood diagnosis and family support, education, case management and advocacy.

Awareness and Education: We believe access is just the beginning. Long-term social impact at the systemic level, begins with expanding awareness and education around core issues, including capacity building with other agencies and organizations, research and development, and cultural competency.

Advocacy and Prevention: Individuals living on the spectrum are placed at relatively greater risk of discrimination, obstructed access to appropriate medical care, education, and resources, economic poverty, under-education, and under employment, emotional and physical abuse and neglect.
