LSU NSBE National Convention 2017
Donation protected
Greetings from the Louisiana State University Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE-LSU)!
The purpose of this campaign is to secure funding for our chapter’s local, regional, and national participation in NSBE programs. NSBE was founded in 1975 and is one of the largest non-profit student-operated organization in the country. The NSBE-LSU chapter is dedicated to maintaining our position as the top professional and academic resource to minority STEM students of the Louisiana State University community. Your generous donation would be an excellent help to achieving that goal and enhancing the quality of our organization; helping our members become the professional engineers and upstanding citizens that NSBE-LSU has produced for years.
It is community generosity and support that has made the NSBE-LSU the outstanding organization that it is today. In the past years we have achieved our goals of excelling on campus and in the community by: strengthening company relationships, improving our grades through Study Jams, maintaining the freshman action team, volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club, and most recently giving back to the local Baton Rouge community whom were affected by the flood. Your donation will contribute greatly to our activities and success for our 2016-2017 year. We value your support and we have no intention of resting on the laurels of our previous year; this year will surpass previous triumphs.
As our chapter continues to expand, so do our visions, expectations, and goals. We anticipate success on a grander scale in the upcoming years. We are confident that the stronger connections we are building with other minority student organizations on campus, Society of Women Engineers (SWE) & Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), will help us fulfill our mission and continue to grow rapidly. We invite you to join us on this journey, because it is through your support that we will succeed. Funding from this campaign will be mainly used to cover travel and lodging cost to attend the 2017 NSBE National Convention. The purpose of NSBE's Annual Convention is to provide the inspiration, education, and connections needed to succeed as an engineer. This conference will host thousands of people from across the globe; through inspiring keynotes, innovative talks, hand-on lessons, and tons of networking, members will learn how to engineer a cultural and professional change in today's society. Members will also be offered employment opportunities at the annual Career Fair, which host some of the largest companies in the STEM field.
We would like to thank you for your interest in our chapter.
