Family pet shot

I amTiffany and my husband is Steve. We live in Marinette, WI. Our family pet was shot by local authorities and they left him out in woods for dead.

We were out school shopping and my daughter and her friend decided to leave the neighbors house and sneak in our house for ice cream and were playing with the phone. The dialed 911 by accident and when the police arrived, Remington ran out door. The officer pulled out his gun and shot him from the top of his head.

Remington came home 6 hours later dripping in blood. The officers came back to check his injurys and told us to get him to the vet. They even went as far to call vet office for us. The vet asked for a down payment and the officer said to send everything to the police department and they will take care of it.

The police department called back and said they're not paying so our dog..best friend..family member is being sent home with a bullet lodged in his ribs to die. To remove the bullet is 5,300.00. Please, please help us save our best friend. We are not asking for anything more then to just get bullet out even though MARINETTE PD SHOULD BE PAYIN FOR IT.

The funds raised are for Remington's vet bills.  We are a family made of love, and not alot of money.  Remington has been our pet for over 3 years and it's very hard to go through this. Remington has to leave bullet in him. We have to keep on going to vet to make sure its not moving. We hope for NO internal bleeding. We have obtained an atty and hope this keeps moving forward with legal team
