Homeless Family

A dear friend and her family are in desperate need of help. The mom (my friend) fell ill this summer and lost a lot of time at work. It took 4 different doctors and multiple surgical procedures to diagnose what was wrong. She ended up out of work and on disability, had visiting nurses etc... and eventually returned to work but with a lengthy recovery time from the second surgery. Although she is back to work, they were struggling to catch up on rent and other bills that fell behind during the loss of income.  The landlord has no desire to work anything out, and so they are losing their home. As of December 17th this family will be homeless (Merry Christmas right?). They are trying very hard to save up money to secure a house to rent, however considering the cost of rentals, they really need some help. This is a family with 3 kids and older pets. Please consider donating to this family to help them secure a home to live in. Even small donations ($10, $20...) can add up quickly and help to keep this family from being homeless this winter. They do not qualify for assistance because they are over the income guidelines. They are out of options other than to hope for the kindness of strangers this holiday season.

This mama has overcomes much over the years including domestic violence, on going lack of child support and on going medical issues, not just of her own, but all 3 kids have been in and out of hospitals for years. I would love to show her God's love by helping with the money needed for a home (First, last and security deposit). This is a family who has reached out to help others in need multiple times. Help me show them that people care about them as much as they have cared for others.

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
