Tornado Survivor Paralyzed - Home Destroyed

On March 3rd a deadly EF-4 Tornado ripped through the community of Beauregard, Alabama.

Dennis Clark was home with his three grandsons Jayce, Shane and Max. The tornado picked up his home and tossed it more than 50 yards away. A tree fell on the house and onto Dennis’ back, leaving him paralyzed. The boys received lacerations, a dislocated shoulder and many bruises.

Dennis’ wife, Nancy, and their other two grandchildren, Alli and Mary-Joe were not home when the tornado change their life. Dennis and Nancy have custody of these five grandbabies and have worked hard to provide a loving and stable homes for them.  The children range from age 5 to 12.

Dennis does not have medical insurance and he has a very long road of medical needs before he can come home. When he is released from the hospital he will need a wheelchair accessible home.  Nancy and the kids are currently staying with family members until they can secure a home that can accommodate Dennis medical needs.
