Help Unaccompanied Migrant Children

WE HAVE STOPPED COLLECTING MONEY FOR THIS EFFORT.

We helped Hastings-based charity "Family-to-Family ", run by Hastings resident Pam Koner,  to buy the items that will help to bring some happiness to unaccompanied children while they are in our community.

These items will include Spanish-language books for the Children's Village library, games for the cottages, personal toiletry items, journals, markers and arts and crafts materials for these children.  Because we were able to exceed our initial goals, we are also equipping the recently arrived children that were forcibly separated from their parents with "exit bags" for when they depart.
