Fat Biking Winter Trail Groomer
Donation protected
PR NEMBA is looking to raise money for a snowmobile to use for grooming fat bike single track on some of
our trail systems. Penobscot Chapter of the New England Mountain Biking Association is a non-profit based in the greater Bangor area. We currently have 5 miles of groomed trail at our Kiski Trail system in Dedham and this was done manually by snowshoe and drag. Rider response to the winter single track has been amazing thus far. While snomobile trails are available for riding we all crave the feel of a real single track experience. This type of terrain is both exhilarating and challenging to ride. The system will need grooming after each snowstorm and also will need regular maintenance. It is unrealistic to do all of this by snowshoe alone.
The grooming set up will be used at Kiski trails and possibly at some other trail systems we use and maintain locally. We have a solid crew of 5 that are ready to take on the grooming responsibilities for this winter. This group has built 2 groomers for varying snow conditions. We are looking to raise $1500 for the purchase of a machine, maintenance and fuel for this season. Please help us with this goal. Any amount will help! $5, $10, $20 or more, kick in some cash and we will ride all winter long in style!
Thank you for you support

*If we do not meet the fundraising goals it is possible we
may hire some grooming out with the proceeds until our goals are met.
