FDNY William Tolley Charity Game

Donation protected
Where do I start?  There are no words that can fully encompass the gravity of such loss.  A husband, a father, and a hero.  FDNY Fireman William Tolley, 42, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.  On Friday, April 21, 2017 while serving with Ladder 135 he responded to an apartment building fire in Ridgewood Queens.  As he had done hundreds of times before he was being raised in a fire truck bucket near the roof of the building.  This time would be different, a jolt, and then tragedy.  The hero was ejected from the bucket falling almost 50 feet to the ground below.  His fellow firemen rushed to his aid did all they could to save him.

FDNY Fireman William Tolley was and always will be a hero to his family, his co-workers, and his community.

FDNY Fireman William Tolley has left behind a loving wife, Marie and beautiful 8-year old daughter, Isabela.  To support his family a Charity Ice Hockey Game has been organized in his memory.

My name is Anthony Legotti and I am Suffolk County Police Officer who runs the New York Whalers Charity Ice Hockey Team.  Our hockey team has organized several previous charity games raising money for both military families and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.  We are made up of mostly local police, fireman, and civilians who want to give back to the community.  We contacted the FDNY Hockey Team to set up a charity game to benefit The William Tolley Family.  We are looking for your support with our game against the FDNY Hockey Team on May 13th, 2017 4:30 P.M. at the Northwell Health Ice Center @ Eisenhower Park.  All proceeds from the Charity Ice Hockey Game will go to benefit the William Tolley Family.

The funds from this campaign will be withdrawn after the game on May 13th and turned over to “Boldest Hockey”.  It is a registered non-profit that will combine the funds from this campaign with the proceeds from the game and present a check to Marie Tolley to be used by the family as needed.

If you are unable to attend donations for the family can be made through this GoFundMe page.
