After years of service as a Firefighter/Paramedic in a metropolitan Detroit community, this firefighter has unfortunately experienced the devastation of losing his home and nearly all of its contents to a fire himself.
On 2/13/16, while off duty and caring for 2 children, his home caught fire. The smoke detectors alerted and allowed him time to get himself, the children, and pets out without harm to any. Unfortunately, the house was a total loss and nearly all of its contents were ruined.
Although the home was insured and most expenses ought to be covered, he left the house behind with little more than the clothes on his back.
Please be aware that he is stressing that everyone is made aware that he is having difficulty asking for charity, but realizes at this point that the situation is overwhelming and help is very much appreciated.
