The number of Australians seeking food relief at least once a week has doubled in 2020. Together, we can provide a free and nutritious meal to more than 25,000 Australians in need this holiday season.
Australians across all walks of life have faced incredible challenges this year and for many it is the first time they are facing food insecurity. By giving what you can, we can give someone a free meal, a memory and a gift of generosity these holidays.
FareShare and Lentil As Anything are working together to provide free meals across Australia from 21 December. Together, we'll be supporting those in need across every capital city and select regional towns.
With your support, we can provide 25,000 meals by raising $30,000 by the end of December! We'll be delivering free meals across these locations:
Victoria - Melbourne, Bendigo, Ballarat, Shepparton, Bairnsdale, Sale, Traralgon, Warragul & Geelong
New South Wales - Sydney, Newcastle, & Central Coast
Queensland - Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Mt Isa, Gayndah & St George
South Australia - Adelaide
Tasmania - Hobart & Launceston
Western Australia - Perth
Northern Territory - Darwin
About FareShare
For almost 20 years, FareShare has been rescuing quality surplus food and cooking free, nutritious meals for Australians in need. With the support of more than 1,500 volunteers nationwide, FareShare cooks around 60,000 free meals a week in Australia’s largest charity kitchens in Brisbane and Melbourne. This holiday season, FareShare will be on hand to feed thousands of Australians across the country.
