Friends of Fernandina Skate Park is a communtiy based organization aimed at promoting healthy physical activity,developing bonds and encouraging self-esteem through the expansion of our skate park into a safe,challenging and inclusive park which will meet the diverse needs and skills of our community. The skate park concept we are providing at this time is 14,000 sf. and has two bowls one snake and a fun street course.
The bowls are each level specific, one is a kiddy bowl the other is a intermediate bowl, the snake is a crossover feature for all disicplines and skill levels, then the street is a multilevel options.
- Specialty scope of work at about $27-$32 per sq.ft. approx. $400.000 could be less depending on donated services and materials.
-Site preparations (ie. grading,drain lines and landscaping could be an additional $25,000.00 to $50,000.00
-Engineering and construction docs of the park could be $9,000.00 to 12,000.00
-Other supporting elements outside of the park should be considered such as:
drop off area
shade areas for parents and rain shelter
trash and recycle bins
