Fighting Cancer in Alabama
Donation protected

Hello everyone. My name is Rhonda and I am a 45 yr old single Mother on a 15 yr old son. We are originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but was displaced in September of 2005 due to hurricane Katrina. I now reside in Anniston, AL with my 15 yr old son Quentin.
In February of 2017, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 gastric cancer. I have been undergoing chemotherapy treatment since then, but this illness has unfortunately has left me too weak to work and unable to provide for my son and myself.
This cancer has robbed not only me but my son. It has degraded me emotionally and mentally. Stolen time from me. I am fighting it with ALL I have got. At times it has beaten me down and all I can do is rest because I am too weak. I just want to live and watch my son grow up and do the things that I have not gotten to do yet.
I have had a major surgery (total Gastrectomy) on July 24th to remove my stomach and gallbladder entirely, but I will need financial help to pay our rent, utilities, medical expenses, and groceries until at least January 2018. I cannot work due to recovery time and I will be going back on chemotherapy this October.
Unfortunately I do not have any family in the area that can help us, so it’s just my son Quentin and I. We are doing everything that we can to make ends meet, but we could really use some help to get through these next few months. Please find it in your heart to donate what you can to help my family in need!
I want to thank all that do consider contributing to help us.
Sincerely,
Rhonda
