Publishing the book, 'Art of Anxiety', to fight against the stigma surrounding mental health and psychiatric diagnoses, via the use of art. The Author:
Nili Gingold-Altchek is an Israeli Therapeutic Photographer whose goal is to produce a book for patients, professionals, and the general public. The book will be the culmination of a half-decade of volunteer work and outreach from trauma victims in the U.S. Military to university lectures, and more.
About the 'Art of Anxiety':
Originally a traveling exhibit, the 'Art of Anxiety' gives the observer a first-person of the feelings experienced by suffered of anxiety and other symptoms. Using abstract images, eliminating the negative feelings that many have towards this subject - Nili hopes to build bridges between sufferers, providers, families, and more. The original purpose of the exhibit, and now the book, is to combat stigma, educate, and inspire empathy and understanding.
