Final Phase - 300 lbs Weight Loss
Donation protected
My name is Keith Druffner. Three years ago, I was six feet, five hundred, and forty pounds. I started to find that my obesity was causing problems in my relationships, including a near divorce with my wife. My life had taken a huge turn from what it used to be. It seemed that it was impossible to strengthen the relationship, I felt lost and hopeless, as if my life was coming to an end as I knew it. After long months of convincing by my wife, I finally realized I needed to do something about the obesity. I decided to start exercising by going to a gym and getting a personal trainer to help me on my path to fitness. With frequent visits to the gym and strenuous workouts, I embarked on a journey that would soon change my life.
After two years, I had already lost a substantial amount of weight and gotten a good schedule. I always managed to fit in a workout, even if it meant that I got home a bit later or woke up much earlier. My workouts were always treacherous, causing difficulty found that it was hard to keep the schedule. Thanks to my wife and son's encouragement, I kept persevering, despite the extreme physical pain each workout caused. Constant workouts and a constant motivation to get closer to being fit influenced me to continue the workouts as they increased in difficulty while my physical prowess increased. I was slowly getting stronger and losing weight, yet something felt off.
Three long, painful years of work, struggles, blood, sweat, and tears with no previous surgery. I poured my heart into my work, but there was a problem that would inhibit me from ever reaching my goals. I saw skin and fat hanging off of my body, despite my weight loss. I went to the doctor, he said that there was extra fat and skin that could only be removed by surgery. I looked into it, and the operation cost was too much for me to afford by myself. I started to become depressed when I learned that there was no way to get the excess off. I eventually stumbled upon a page called GoFundMe, where I could reach out to you, the readers, to help me accomplish my goal. In order to complete the surgery, I need 13000 dollars. Every donation pushes me one step closer to reaching my goal. Thank you for your support as I look toward a brighter future and a better looking body after the surgery.
