On the 15th March 2017, our darling dog Cherry went missing on
She is a tiny Chihuahua cross who came to us from the RSPCA and following a rough start to life, my family have given her such happiness, joy and a second chance at life and she's done the same for them. Devastated doesn't even begin to describe how we are feeling.
Today, 19th March 2017, we had our first glimmer of hope, upon hearing 5 seperate episodes of yapping. We cannot be 100% sure it is Cherry as we did not see her but there was nobody else up there and we truely believe she is still at the top of the mountain. We looked for as long as we possibly could today but we couldn't find her. The wonderful Gwent Caving Club have been tirelessly searching the holes and shafts for us and many of the kindest members of public have been searching the land with us but now we need professional help and quickly. Time is really against us in these conditions.
It was on the suggestion of the people on Cherry's Facebook page that we set up a Go Fund Me page in the hope that we can access a helicopter. Failing that, we would use the money for any other professional help we could access. Any money unused for these specific tasks will go towards a charity for dogs. I haven't researched these yet but we will make it our duty to ensure every penny is utilised to it's full potential.
We love you wonderful, generous and kind people with all our hearts. People say that social media is the death of community but you have proven them absolutely wrong. I have never experienced community like this and you should all be so, so proud of what you have achieved. Thank you
