Help us find our Big Brother Jon!
Our dear big brother Jon is missing in Dublin.
Jon Throstur Jonsson is a caring father, son, fiancé and a wonderful human being who has been missing since 09/02/19 and was last seen in Whitehall, Dublin.
Jon went to Dublin on a holiday with his fiancée and disappeared around 11 am on Saturday 9 February a short walk from his hotel.
Jon left the Bonnington Hotel at 11.05am on 09/02/2019. He was seen on CCTV at McGettigan’s bar at 11.07am, exiting onto the Swords Road heading northbound towards the Airport. Jon was last seen at the exit of Highfield Hospital heading northbound on the Swords Road towards Collins Avenue. He is 1.84m (6") tall, with short brown hair and of medium build. He was last seen wearing a black padded jacket.
The Garda police are enquiring if taxi drivers may have seen Jon at his last known location (close to the junction of Swords Roads/ Collins Avenue at 11.07am on 09/02/2019), and if they might have ‘Dash Cam’ footage of this area for this time.
Jon's disappearance comes as a complete shock to us and we have spent every waking hour since his disappearance searching for him all over Dublin. We are desperate for any information regarding his whereabouts.
We are putting all of our trust in the public to help us with any clues that can result in finding him! We are eternally grateful for the help we have received and we continue to gratefully accept assistance, in any way shape or form.
About 10 family members and friends have flown to Dublin in order to help with the search, which consists of printing and spreading posters and flyers in Dublin and speaking to people with the aim of getting the most reach. We need everyone in Ireland to know that we are searching for him so that he can be found!
We are seeking assistance to help find Jon. There are three ways for you to help.
1. Support the search financially by donating to this campaign. This will cover housing cost for the searchers from Iceland, printing cost for flyers and posters, as well as Jon's financial obligations at home.
2. Help us spread the flyers around the country, please contact us on [email redacted] and we will be in touch.
3. Help us spread the word and raise awareness, e.g. by sharing the link to this campaign. Someone, somewhere must have seen him in the past 10 days!
We will not stop until we find Jon!
