Fire Destroys The Bookstore

FIRE CONSUMES AISLE C SOUTH AT THE MARKET OF MARION
I have been struggling to save The Bookstore for over 2 months because of a myriad of other issues and I would like to thank all of you who so generously donated to my previous campaign. I also thank everyone who has offered to donate books and to all of my customers who brought bags of book donations to my store BEFORE the fire and to all of you who are now offering to do book drives for me so I can rebuild. God bless you all.
Now the unimaginable has happened. My husband and I got a call Monday night from a friend who saw on the local news that the Market of Marion was on fire. We immediately drove over there but of course couldn't get in. It was Aisle C South. MY aisle, my husband's employer Discount Housewares, the Bird's Nest that's been there for 30 years, the beautiful little Ark at the Market church where my husband and I were married and the Wig Gallery who had just started a non-profit for cancer patients. The estate people took up half the aisle and was nearest to the road. We are awaiting the investigation report from Florida State's Fire Marshall. The entire aisle is expected to collapse and the Market is required to put up a huge fence around it.
Everything is gone. I am still numb. I had over 15,000 beautiful books, 25 hand built oak cabinets, ceiling fans, lighting, carpeting, on and on. My husband is also in shock because he is now unemployed.
We are intending to set up in another aisle once the Market is up to code and ready to go. We would like to be set up by season when the snowbirds arrive in January. Because I have lost everything my GoFundMe goal is $30,000 so I can, slowly but surely, restock and rebuild. I have some books in my book shed at home which are mostly collections of books I have accumulated for my eBay sales and I have faith my loyal customers will come through with book donations once they know of my attempt to reestablish The Bookstore.
Most Market vendors do not have insurance because the cost is prohibitive. We have lost everything and have no money to rebuild.
I don't know what else to say. This happened Monday night. It is now Friday and I am still trying to comprehend the devastation. Please help me rebuild The Bookstore. I have been at the Market for six years. It was beautiful. It was truly my life as well as my livelihood. Please help us get back on our feet. We will be eternally grateful. Thank you.
This was the news report.
