The FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC®) challenges high school teams and their mentors to build a robot in 6 weeks. These robots then compete in a game designed by Dean Kamen, Dr. Woodie Flowers, and a committee of engineers and other professionals.
The Krypton Cougars Robotics Team teaches the importance of safety and develops STEM skills associated with designing and building a robot for competition. The team welcomes all high school students who would like to join.
Annual Cost for maintaining a FIRST Robotics Team Include:
FIRST Robotics Registration $5,000
Parts and material for the Robot $5,000
Tools and Laptops $2,000
Regional Championship $4,000
Travel Cost & Misc. Expense $4,000
Total: $20,000
