Lincoln County Flood Relief Effort
Donation protected
Winfield, Old Monroe, and Foley Missouri have been devastated by rising flood waters. Many families, elderly and children have been displaced - living in shelters or with good Samaritans. We would like to raise $5,000 or more to go 100% to relief efforts, to purchase ready-to-eat food, cleaning supplies, and basic victim necessities. We're asking for good-will donations and prayers for our neighbors and friends. ALL funds will go directly to victim relief efforts for affected Winfield, Old Monroe and Foley residents.
Right now, the city's supply of donated food is useless, nobody has a way to cook or prepare it. And it will get worse before it gets better. The storm drains were shut to keep the river out. Now, with a week's worth of rain on the way, the rest of the town stands vulnerable to flooding as well. In order for "small, limited government" to work, we must rely on each other. Please help to do what you can. Stay tuned for updates and volunteer coordination information from the Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney's Facebook page.
*This effort is not sponsored by the county or any government entity, but rather Mike Wood as a private, concerned citizen.
