Asher's Birthday Wish feat. BAPD
Donation protected
Our kind hearted Asher has asked if he can donate to the police this year instead of receiving gifts at his birthday party. Rather than just making a monetary donation, he wanted to fill a need in the department.
Since he's five, he was leaning towards hiring a scientist to create laser bullets for the police to use. So, we asked if we could meet with someone to see if that could help.
As it turns out, there isn't currently a need for laser bullets. However, Asher is more than willing to work towards getting them something they DO need.
He is working with Ms Lisa Ford with the Broken Arrow Police Department to supply them with whistles for their crime prevention and safety program.
Whistles are given out to children, the elderly and anyone one who may need to use them to draw attention to themselves. Whistles can be used during disasters to alert first responders to a person's location. They can be used call for help in the event of a crime. And, they can be used near pools and other bodies of water as a way of keeping people safe.
Asher has set a lofty goal of donating 600 whistles to celebrate turning 6 years old on March 5.
He would be honored to have your support in reaching his goal!
