At the F.O.C.U.S Center, we will place an emphasis on organizing the communities of Montgomery, particularly the Southside residents , with the centralized importance of recognizing opportunities available for our youth and shifting the mindset of the community in a positive and respecting way! With the development of pre and after school programs, everything from debate teams to healthy cooking courses, community gardens, scholarship funds, and so much more, F.O.C.U.S members will become the face of change. The successes of Black Wall Street began with the will and want for better. Can we do it? We can do it; WE SHALL DO IT!

 

About the Founder: As a current active duty Air Force Captain, I have learned so many qualities and seen how having a collective goal can bring others with different backgrounds to achieve so much. This concept should be implemented and accomplished with members in our own communities. Raised in the southside neighborhood of Spring Valley in Montgomery, AL, it has become astonishing the reallocation of resources that are sent to "developing" neighborhoods and the lack of resources available to a large majority of residents in these areas. Enough talk, let's build together the right way and build our future!
