Fontenot Family's Blessing Fund

Friday, March 17th, 2017 at 4 O' Clock in the morning. Leslie Fontenot woke up with excruciating pain in her lower abdomen. She had just found out only 2 days prior that she was pregnant, even though she had the Mirena IUD placed. The odds of getting pregnant with an IUD in place are less than 1%. Only 1 day prior to the 17th, she had gone to her first doctor appointment to find out that she had a very possible ectopic pregnancy in her right fallopian tube. She was to go back the next morning to have her levels checked again to see if the pregnancy was actually progressing and if it was indeed ectopic.
Unfortunately, she didn't have that much time. Her right fallopian tube ruptured, her stomach was filling with blood. As most know, a ruptured fallopian tube with an ectopic pregnancy could lead to death. The fact that she was bleeding out internally and had to have an emergency surgery was a total shock to her family and friends. I ended up calling our Church to have someone go be with her husband so that he would not have to be alone waiting and had someone praying with him for his wife's emergency surgery to go well. Hours later, Praise the Lord she made it out of surgery alive and well! James, her husband, still had his wife and their two boys still had their Mother, We all rejoiced. Yet we are also sad for the loss of the baby, as well as her right Fallopian tube. They unfortunately do not have close family that can help them in times of hardship. Her husband, has been out of work for months due to a back injury that restricts him from going back to work until his doctor authorizes his back is healed. He has been on short term dissability leave but unfortunately only makes enough to buy some groceries. Leslie has been the main income source since he has had his back injury. She just changed jobs about 6 weeks ago to be more available for her family. Over the last few years with her oldest son's sever ADHD and her youngest son's health issues, its been a real struggle. Especially during this time of change. She did not expect this unforseen event to happen. She just found out today that her leave would be unpaid medical leave. This news left them worried about how they will keep their home and not lose everything. Leslie is a nurse that has given most of her time to her patients and been there for many as they were passing. Her and her husband are the strongest parents I know to deal with all the hardships they have. They would never ask for any help from anyone, this is why I am asking for them. I see our dear friends and their boys struggling to just keep a roof over there head, food in their home and utilities paid. In life, we are all hit with storms, and we rely on the Lord to lead us through them, not around them. Her other dear friends and I wanted to do something to bless them, the only other way we could think of was to create this GoFundMe Fund for them and spread the word and get them help. I am only asking for help for them until she is able to go back to work. Since her job change they have been trying to get back on track with bills, and then this event happened that nearly took my sweet friend's life away. It has put them even more behind. Please, if you see this fund, please donate. Even if it is just $5. Anything will help. If we could all donate even just $5 a person or family and share the post, it will be such a blessing to this wonderful family. $5 adds up, thats a coffee or something you pay $5 each day for, that you can skip one day of or not skip and just give $5 if you don't have much to give. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please share and ask your friends to share. Let's all be a blessing to this sweet family.
