Food Allergy Signage at Amity Twp Parks

1 in 13 kids have food allergies and that's on the rise. My own son was diagnosed with multiple anaphylaxis food allergies at 6 months old. I could either take that diagnosis and just go with it or I could be an advocate for my son and others in our community with life threatening food allergies. I feel education is the first step towards change. 

I recently, went in front of our Township boards and my proposal to hang food allergy awareness signs at all our local parks got approved!! Yay! My son loves the park and I feel that the local food allergy children could benefit from some food allergy awareness. 

**THIS ISN'T BANNING FOOD FROM THE PARKS!!!! IT'S STRICTLY EDUCATIONAL AND SPREADING AWARENESS. FOOD PROTEINS CAN SPREAD FROM TACTILE CONTACT. HAND SANITIZER DOES NOT WORK!!!! IT ONLY SPREADS THE FOOD PROTEINS AROUND ON YOUR HAND**

Your donation will help towards my goal of purchasing 12 signs from a local municipal supply company!
