Food Insecurity Fright Fest

Owls Against Hunger is a student organization at Kennesaw State University. Their mission is to unite students at Kennesaw State to fight food waste and hunger by recovering food that would have otherwise have gone to waste and donate it to people in need. However, they are just starting up and have no money to hold events.

The Student Board for Charity Activities is also a student-run nonprofit at KSU that focuses on community engagement and leadership. Their mission is to engage students in helping their communities by participating in in-depth fundraisers and hands-on volunteering events as well as raising  awareness of the many problems that the world is facing across the KSU campus. Their organization is also starting up and has no money to hold events.

The Food Insecurity Fright Fest is a Halloween-themed event and a collaboration between the two organizations that aims to raise awareness about food insecurity, specifically the kind that affects fellow students. However, we want to make this a big event where students can enjoy food and music, which are sure to attract students who may not have come to the event otherwise. The event is on October 24, 2018, so we don't have much time to raise money ourselves. If we had more than two and a half weeks, we would be happy to raise all the money ourselves. All the funds will go towards the decorations and food at the event.

We would love to educate students about food insecurity, but we can't do it without any money for this event! Your money would mean a lot to our little organizations! Even the smallest amount would help. Thank you for donating!
