This is the most difficult thing I have ever had to do was try and condense my beautiful, amazing, intelligent, kind sister into a few short paragraphs.
Caitlin "Thundercat" O'Hara died unexpectedly 07/01/17 at just 29 years of age while at a Bachelorette party in Canada. She fought hard for her life but there was nothing the hospital could do for her though they tried everything they could. This extraordinary woman held on until her significant other of 10 years Dave and I could arrive at the hospital to say goodbye and then surrounding by a few of those that loved her she shortly and peacefully passed away.
Caitlin is a loving daughter/sister/granddaughter/cousin/niece friend, devoted girlfriend, cosmetologist, enthusiastic dog mother to Molly, badass roller derby chick, metal/80’s punk rocker, literally given the shirt off her back, generous, Switzerland and multicolored.
Many, Many people have reached out to us asking what they can do to help for which we are truly grateful. The aid we have received from not only back home on Cape Cod but from the brotherhood of the Toronto Fire Department is helping us tremendously but unfortunately we need to ask for more. We are asking for help in paying the hospital as she did not have health insurance in Canada and for help in bringing her back home to Cape Cod where everyone who loved her can celebrate her life. Any residual funds will go towards the Viking/Irish celebration that she wanted.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The O’Hara, Leather, Reinhardt and O’Brien family
