For Children of Michael Legendre
Donation protected
Michael Legendre, age 38, died on January 15, 2017 after a three-year battle with leukemia. Michael leaves behind his love since high school, Jackie Weigel, and their three amazing children, Cami (age 13), Gage (age 10), and Tyler (age 7).
Michael valued activities with his family and friends. He especially liked watching his favorite football team, the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed outdoor activities like disc golf and taking his kids & niece to play at parks or other venues. Michael was an expert at any type of video game; there was no challenges too tough for him. Michael had a magical way of making people laugh. His humor was without limits.
Michael worked for almost two decades at John’s Food Mart where he found amazing friends that became his family. He also spent several years working at FedEx as a manager in publishing. Michael worked until his body would no longer allow him to work. The family had to live off of Jackie's income alone. The years of living with a single income and extreme medical expenses took a toll on the family physically, mentally, and financially. Jackie must now continue to provide for three children on her own.
The family has set up this fund to help with expenses that are not only occurring now, but also for those to come. This fund will allow their hearts to heal and less stress financially.
Thank you for your assistance during this hard time for the family.
