For Morty

Christopher Ryan Morton made the ultimate sacrifice when he was killed while serving a call 3-7-2018. Morton was an incredible soldier and police officer who lived his life serving others. After serving 2 overseas deployments in the Army National Guard to both Kosovo and Afghanistan, he came home with the need to not only serve his country but his community and thus became a Police Officer for the city of Clinton, Missouri.
Morton was a one-of-a-kind man, he simply brought people together. There isn’t a person in this world who would have anything negative to say about him. His laugh was infectious, his smile was contagious and his friends quickly became family. Since returning from deployment Ryan constantly went out of his way to keep communication with countless battle buddies regardless of the distance between all of us year after year.
We will all miss his love for the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs and his overwhelming love of life, friendships and service. The least we can do during this devastating time of Morton being taken too soon is support his family as he has supported all of us. This GoFundMe account will assist his family in many ways.
It was an honor to serve with Morty and share the time we had together. All funds will be donated to Morty’s expenses and will be hand delivered by me. Thank you again for your support
