For Our Hermana Guerrera
I've never met the woman this is for in person but she's made a difference in how I approach and handle a lot of things as well as made a difference in the lives of thousands of others through her content online...AND she lives in my beautiful home town ~~Chuco~~ EL PASO, TEXAS!
Some people dedicate their time and energy to fighting for others, to motivating those around them to do the same, to teaching people how to love the things about themselves that the world teaches them to hate. In the xicana community, these guerreras are everywhere, and it is thanks to women like ~*CASSANDRA*~ who relentlessly remind their hermanos and hermanas to remain strong and vigilant. She is the founder and one of the voices behind the XICANISMA insta and FB (although they are temporarily suspended, we all know and love these accounts.)
Sometimes the people who dedicate massive amounts of energy to the people around them could use some of that energy back.
Maybe together we can help bring some light into her days. We've all been there, maybe you found out your abue is sick, someone hits the car you just fixed, you got into an all lives matter argument, you feel like shit, failed that class, and can't afford next semester's tuition. Whatever you go through, it's always easier when you have someone who can actually help.
She recently shared from her personal insta (nowimgold_) that things aren't easy in her life right now, and the latest thing to happen involves losing her transportation. It's hard enough to recover from a car accident, but then on top of that she is a single mother who was already in a tight place because she'll have a pay gap over the winter break. Maybe we can at least help a bit with that so she can relax even for a moment and enjoy what is supposed to be a joyous time of year with her son.
If we know anything about guerreras is that they don't *NEED* our help, but that doesn't mean WE don't need to help each other.
