For Paige, Medical Expenses

*** UPDATE #5 ***
Well everyone, the day is here, Paige and Austin are coming home to Iowa! There are a few details to iron out here and there, but the plan is to get them in the air today!
Another huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared or sent good vibes to these two. We couldn't have asked for a better community of people to help get them home <3
*** UPDATE #4 ***
A lot of you have been asking for an update on Paige’s condition, as of this weekend she was officially moved out of the ICU and into the PCU, which is another step closer to being in a normal room. She is still at the hospital in Palm Springs, after multiple surgeries she is doing remarkably well after two weeks.
There are multiple reasons she is still in the hospital, her list of injuries was ever-growing the first few days she was there. A large list of broken bones including her: right wrist, left elbow, one rib, and one of her scapula. In addition to that, she also had some perforations in her small intestine and her colon that caused air and other bodily fluids to enter her abdomen. This was the first surgery she had the day of the accident.
The night of the accident we received a phone call that the left side of her body had become unresponsive, so she was taken in for more testing to see what had happened. Both of her carotid arteries had dissections in them, most likely created by the straps of her helmet at the time of the accident. This led to Paige having a stroke that affected the entire right side of her brain. She is seeing physical, occupational and speech therapists on a daily basis. Over the last few days she has regained some feeling on her left side, which is a really good sign, but she still has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
Now that she is out of the ICU, conversations have been started on how to bring her home to Iowa. That is our next big hurdle, and where we are coming to ask for your help again. An airbus is going to be the safest and quickest way to get her home, but unfortunately they are extremely expensive. It will not be covered by insurance so if you are able, any amount will help towards paying for this. If you are unable to donate, please share this with as many friends and family as you can <3

*** UPDATE #3***
As we are getting ready for our Fundraiser and Silent Auction tonight, we just hit our most recent goal of $20,000. We are so thankful for the support of a community that so clearly loves Paige. Each day we are learning of more expenses that are piling up for her and her family, so we ask that you please keep contributing and sharing this for her.
If you're in Des Moines tonight, please stop by the Iowa Tap Room for the fundraiser and silent auction. We have over 150 auction items, with 100% proceeds going directly to Paige. If possible, please bring cash or check. There will be beer, cocktails and food available for purchase - with all proceeds going to Paige as well.
*** UPDATE #2***
Once again the generosity shown for Paige has absolutely overwhelmed us! We hit our second goal of $15,000 in just two days, so we're going to keep the good vibes rolling! Please continue to share with your friends and family so we can keep raising funds to support Paige.
*** UPDATE ***
The massive amount of support for Paige has been so overwhelming - and we are all so thankful that she has so many wonderful people rallying behind her.
We hit our goal of $10k in less than 12 hours and there’s still so much time to keep giving that we’ve bumped up our goal so that we can give her and her family as much assistance as possible.

For those of you who know our dear Paige, you know that she is – among many wonderful things – a strong, determined and persistent woman. That strength will be her greatest asset in the coming weeks as she goes through an extensive healing process.
This past Sunday, Paige was in a motorcycle accident near Palm Springs, California. She is in the hospital there in intensive care with multiple injuries and faces a long recovery ahead. She has a great trauma team working with her and is showing progress, but your prayers, good vibes and love are also needed.
Time after time, Paige helpfully says, “I got you!” and in this moment, we invite you to join us in saying to her and her family, “We got you!”
This money will not only go to Paige, but also her loving husband Austin Warren, to help cover living expenses in addition to the medical expenses they are accruing.
