For Victor - In Loving Memory
Donation protected
On Wednesday 11th April 2018 my world came crashing down as I received the tragic news that my closest friend, my brother, Victor Adebodun had sadly passed away.
I feel sick to my stomach as I write this, tears in my eyes and pain in my heart. Victor was more than a friend to me, Victor was a part of my spirit and since I received the news I have felt lost, devastated and heartbroken. Unable to process this tragedy, not wanting to believe it, thinking about his daughter, his partner, his family and his legacy.
This morning I lay in bed and asked myself what would Victor do if this happened to me? Victor would be calling my mum and sitting with her everyday to make sure she was ok and see if she needed anything, he would be consoling my wife and playing with my daughter to make sure she saw a male figure like me everyday and most importantly, he would make sure finances and the arrangements for my funeral were covered. I know that Vic would not only do this for me but for any one of his close friends, because that is the guy he was, full of genuine love and positive energy.
Hundreds of people have been in touch to pass on their condolences and I'm sure there are thousands more that are feeling this tragic loss. In situations like this it's so difficult to know what to do or say as nothing can ease the pain all of his family and friends are feeling right now and nothing can bring him back.
But for anyone looking for a way to help or something they can do for his family, myself and a few of Victor's close friends have set up this page to raise money for the funeral arrangements and his daughter's future.
I know that not everyone will be able to contribute because of different personal situations etc. but for those that can I would ask that you give whatever you can, with his family and young daughter in mind.
Please be aware that this is the only official page collecting funds for Victor and we currently have no plans for setting up any others. If you do see any other collections, please get in touch with me (Delzie) through this page, or any of the following people if you know them personally:
Wyn
Ramique
Jay
Damon
Femi
Nicki
*Please mark any social media tributes with the hashtag #forvictor2018 so in time his family can take comfort from all of your loving messages*
I pray for anyone else that is feeling Victor's loss at this difficult time.
