FOUR PAWS is an international animal welfare organization with headquarters in Vienna!
The goal of the campaigns is to achieve sustainable legal improvements. In this way, we are committed to improving livestock husbandry conditions and are committed to ending animal testing and replacing it with more modern, effective and scientifically recognized experimental methods. We are also fighting for a ban on fur farming in Europe and a ban on private wildlife keeping. The foundations for this are sound research and scientific expertise as well as intensive national and international lobbying at the political level.
National and international aid projects by FOUR PAWS provide rapid and direct assistance to animals in need and, if necessary, create a habitat adapted to the needs of the animals.

The FOUR PAWS Big Cat Protection Center LIONSROCK offers big cats from the zoo, the circus and bad private housing a new home. The huge multi-hectare enclosure allows lions, tigers, cheetahs and many other rescued big cats a life in a natural environment.

As can be seen in the video, the bears - mostly collar-bears - are first anesthetized under dreadful conditions, then their gallbladder is ultrasonically localized and punctured using a long needle pierced through the abdominal wall. Often the stuns are so weak that the bears are aware of the incredible pain. They scream in pain in these moments.
In northeastern Vietnam, we are building a new bear conservation center for up to 100 bear bears, the BEARFOREST Ninh Binh.
The first construction phase covers 3.6 hectares and will be able to provide housing for up to 44 bale larks. First, four large outdoor enclosures for each 10 or 14 animals, 2 bear houses with indoor boxes for the bears, a quarantine and a veterinary station, a feed kitchen and an administration building.
A new life for BEARS
Bears like Hai Chan, Thai Van or Thai Giang desperately need our help! Collarbears in Vietnam still have tiny cages. Many of them are starving, sick and mutilated. Despite the ban, some are even further abused as gallebars.
FOUR PAWS wants to free the bears from their cages and take them to the BEAR FOREST Ninh Binh, where they can find a new home.
30, - costs the food for a bear for transport.
50, - finance the medicine to treat a bear on the day of rescue.
250, - costs a bear transport box.
