Forever Loving A Foster Kid

Update.... while talking to workers at Devereux I have come to the conclusion to keep this fundriaser going through out the next year to help all the foster kids that have visits at Devereux here in Tucson Arizona.. I will be getting items to help the families while they have their visits at Devereux. Items such as .. books, games, crayons and coloring book, crafting supplies, and yes i will be doing things for the older teen kids as well..

My Name is Chris.
Since August of this year my wife and I have been foster parents to two beautiful kids. They came to us by an extended family member who had reached out to my wife pleading for her help. Since then we have had to navigate through the system and at times be totally felt like we were at our wits end with all of the political tape. Recently while reading an artivle I had discovered that 28,000 children in Arizona alone are in the foster care system. This started to upset me knowing that there are so many children out there not with there parents or family, two of them are here in my home. I started to ask what is the biggest need for foster children and was told that young adults and teens tend to get overlooked for new shoes, clothes and other necesseties. I had decided that I wold like to make November a month where people can donate funds so that new shoes can be purchased for kids in foster care. 
I have created a Go Fund Me page so that people anywhere can make a contribution. 
The goal is to raise money to be able to purchase 150 pairs or more of shoes. I would like to be able to get the shoe purchased and out to the community so the the kids in care can have them by Christmas.
Any donation would be ever so thankful from everyone person that works with a foster child everday.
