VEX Robotics Competition
Fort Davis ISD is beginning a robotics construction and programming class to help our students prepare for the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) workforce and environment. This class will be based upon the VEX Robotics competition and involves robot design and construction, programming, competition, and troubleshooting. Students will be challenged every day, in the classroom, to develop and complete a highly technical project with practical applications for the 21st century. Money raised in this drive will be used purchase the robotic construction equipment and software. Instruction is supplemented via online videos and other tutorial material. The class will be held for a full year, with a competition held each spring, and the same equipment is reused year-to-year to address NEW challenges.
