Funeral Costs/College for the Girls
Donation protected
Martha Lucia Montoya Franco was brutally murdered by her husband on the night of August 19, 2016 at the age of 56. She suffered multiple stab wounds and bludgeons to her head as her two teenage daughters barely escaped the scene and the same fate.
It is incomprehensible how this could have happened to Martha, who was always so loving and jovial and we are now trying to figure out how to move on without her and pick up the pieces.
Taken from the lives of her two teenage daughters, the girls were her heart and soul. She adored them and worked hard to provide for them. Martha enjoyed her job and her friends at The Breakers Hotel where she worked for the past 23 years.
Martha, mother, dear cousin, friend and co-worker, you were loved and will be missed by so many. She left an impression on our lives with her giving and caring ways, but most of all with her sense of humor. Always the light and laughter in a room. We will never forget her.
The girls have undergone through great trauma when they should be carefree teenagers. In a matter of minutes, their whole lives changed and they now have big decisions and expenses to consider.
We, Martha's family, are setting up this fund to help the girls cover costs of the funeral and to provide some assistance with funding their college education coming up in a few years. We would be forever grateful for the donations that will help these girls. They have a long life to live with a heavy burden of missing a mom they were very close with, who protected them with her life.
