Team Recovery Roxy
My life changed forever on January 19, 2015. I was shot by my boyfriend that I loved and thought loved me also. I was originally paralyzed in my left arm, and from my chest down including both legs. I am thankful that I have recovered alot of use in my left arm. My left hand and chest down are still paralyzed. I had a collapsed lung, broken ribs, shoulder blade, and clavicle, as well as a spinal cord injury. The bullet is lodged in my spine and surgical removal isn't possible.
I am a tetraplegic, and Dr's say I will be for the rest of my life. I believe very strongly in the power of prayer. God can do anything. I am praying for a full recovery. I'm prepared and I know how my life has possibly changed forever, as well as my family and friends'. I owned a very successful salon that I loved working for my clients. I am cherishing every moment I have left on earth with my loved ones. I have 2 children in college, one of them finished high school a year and a half early and is now taking 2 years worth of college courses in 1 year. Both took all ap classes in school. I have a highschool student that skipped a grade, and my youngest is in junior highschool and taking gifted and talented, pre ap, and Avid courses. I also have a new granddaughter. These kids are my motivation to keep fighting. I hope to be a spokesperson against domestic violence.
I am asking for your support to assist with the long and challenging transition in life. I appreciate all of your support. All the love and support I've already received is a huge help. God is here with me and he's not through with me yet!
