Frank Rooney Fund

   It’s with deepest regret, the Cinnaminson Police Department announce the unexpected death of recently retired Sgt. Francis X. Rooney. Frank passed away suddenly on December 5, 2016 while on his first day of a new job, he was only 50 years young.

    Frank served over 28-years in law enforcement and was well known and respected within the Cinnaminson community and will sadly be missed. The biggest impact of Frank’s untimely death will be felt by his family. Frank leaves behind his loving wife Jill to raise their six young children ages ranging from 7 to 17 on her own.  Frank’s family meant the world to him and he meant the same to them.

    We are reaching out to the community for support in the form of donations to help Jill (and Frank’s children) with unexpected funeral expenses and financial strain suddenly placed upon them. The donations will help ease this difficult time for this devastated family especially right before Christmas.  Donations can be made through the GoFundMe page or made directly by writing a check payable to The Cinnaminson Police Association and indicating “The Frank Rooney Fund” in the memo section.  Donations will also be accepted at the Breakfast with Santa event on Sunday December 11, 2016 located at the Merion Caterers.  Thank you for your kindness and support.
